Install the NVIDIA integration
If you're using pull-based collection, install the NVIDIA integration before you configure the integration instance. Push-based collection doesn't require this installation.
Use the IO Software Upgrade task on the Settings tab to upload the integration installation file to the IO Platform Appliance. The integration update is nondisruptive, and logged-in user sessions update automatically.
About this task
Uploading the installation file doesn't install the integration in IO. The file uploads to a staging area on the appliance. After the file is uploaded and validated, you can apply the update.
Prerequisites
Ensure that you have met the requirements identified in Installation Prerequisites.
Verify system requirements
Before you install the integration, verify that your environment meets the following requirements:
Infrastructure Observability (IO) 2026.4.1 or later is installed and configured.
A valid IO Wisdom Pack license that supports operating system monitoring is available.
A supported version of the NVIDIA Gateway (AIFO NVIDIA Gateway) is installed and configured.
SSH access is available to the NVIDIA Gateway.
The SSH user has at least read-only privileges.
TCP port 22, or your configured SSH port, is accessible.
Download the installation package
Download the latest NVIDIA integration update package from the internal artifacts repository. Select the latest available NVIDIA integration .upd file.
Prepare the appliance
Before you install or update the integration, prepare the appliance as follows:
Important
Skipping these checks can prevent the IO from completing scheduled backups or discoveries during the update.
Verify that a successful IO backup completed within the last one to two days.
Don't upload the update until the backup completes successfully.
Confirm that no discovery jobs are running or scheduled during the installation.
Suspend scheduled discovery jobs until the installation finishes.
For updates only, take these additional steps:
Disable scheduled backups before you begin the update.
Don't run backups during the update or within 24 hours afterward. Backups taken within 24 hours of an appliance update fail because of post-processing.
Re-enable scheduled backups 24 hours after the update completes.
Create a new backup as soon as the 24-hour waiting period elapses.
Procedure
From the Settings page, click Software Upgrade.

The Software Upgrade page displays.
Use the Browse button to select the .upd file, and click Upload.
The integration file uploads to a staging area. When the file displays in the list, it's ready to apply.

To apply the update, click Update.
A message briefly displays showing the name and version of the integration being installed. When the installation finishes, a message displays stating "Installation succeeded" along with the installed IO version.
Important
Leaving the uploaded file in the staging area prevents the IO from performing backups. Apply the staged file as soon as possible.

Go to Settings > Integrations to verify that the integration is installed and running.
The integration you installed displays on the Integrations page, in a panel similar to the following.

New integrations show (0) configured instances.
