Ingestor Dashboard
The Ingestor Dashboard is a specialized dashboard that monitors and visualizes the data ingestion pipeline responsible for collecting and forwarding telemetry (metrics, logs, events) into the system, typically into time-series databases like VictoriaMetrics. The Ingestor Dashboard module offers real-time visibility into the ingestion pipeline, helping DevOps, SREs, and Platform Engineers ensure that telemetry data flows smoothly and reliably into the observability stack. It plays a critical role in maintaining data accuracy, completeness, and system performance.
The Ingestor is a core backend component in Virtana that:
Receives raw metrics from containerized environments (like Kubernetes).
Parses, filters, and enriches data.
Pushes this data into storage (e.g., VictoriaMetrics) for analysis and visualization.
