Getting Started
Virtana Service Observability is a software-as-a-service platform for deep infrastructure monitoring. It builds real-time models of your IT infrastructure and services and applies machine learning to identify the root causes of outages quickly and accurately.
The result is a single place to monitor performance, investigate problems, and automate your response across your entire environment.
What you can do
Virtana Service Observability supports your work from everyday monitoring through active troubleshooting. You can:
Monitor at any scale: Build dashboards that track key indicators for your whole environment, for critical infrastructure, or for individual services.
Explore your inventory: Query, save, and share views of the entities in your environment and their properties.
Detect anomalies automatically: Rely on a neural network model that flags metric values outside their normal range in near real time.
Investigate with context: Open a Smart View page for any entity to see its metrics, events, and dependencies, with AI assistants surfacing the most important and anomalous data first.
Respond to change: Configure the action service to watch events and metrics and send notifications when your conditions are met.
How your data gets in
Virtana Service Observability collects data through Collection Zones or through streaming methods that need none. A Collection Zone groups the collectors that gather availability, performance, and model data. Streaming methods, including ZenPacks, connectors, agents, and integrations, send data directly through the Virtana Service Observability API. The credentials service stores the credentials these integrations need, so you enter them once and reuse them.
