Installation Prerequisites

REST API access must be enabled on the IBM DS System.

One device represents one IBM DS System. The following configuration parameters must be set for the device:

REST API Access

  • IBM DS Hostname/IP : Hostname or IP address to connect to the IBM DS REST API.

  • REST API Username : The username used for REST API authentication.

  • REST API Password : The password used for REST API authentication.

  • REST API Port : The port used for REST API connections (default: 443 for DS8K REST API).

  • Verify HTTPS : Ensures secure communication using SSL/TLS certificate validation.

  • REST API Certificate File : The TLS certificate file used for HTTPS validation. When the Verify HTTPS option is enabled, provide the certificate file to validate the IBM DS REST API server's identity.
