Metric Collection
Each integration has its own set of metrics that IO can collect and report on. In IO, you can view metrics for various entities. You can also apply filters to metrics to focus the collected data to specific requirements.
How Metric Collections Works
IO performs the following multi‐step process to collect metrics.
Logs in to the KVM host using the SSH username and password.
The libvirtd service must be running.
Discovers metrics available on the KVM.
Extracts the metrics information based on what is discovered.
Important
Network related metrics are only available for KVM domains (virtual hosts).
