Infrastructure Observability deployment
Infrastructure Observability (IO) is a core module of the Virtana Platform that monitors physical, virtual, and cloud infrastructure and provides real-time alerts on system health and performance. This section helps you deploy IO, connect it to Global View (GV), extend it for specialized hardware, and complete the post-installation setup.
Deploy Infrastructure Observability
Installs IO on a Kubernetes cluster from an input file, with advanced overrides for CPU and memory limits and JVM heap size. You can stand up IO to monitor the health and performance of your physical, virtual, and cloud infrastructure. See Deploy Infrastructure Observability for details.
Integration with Global View
This integration connects a deployed IO instance to Global View using a GV account and OAuth credentials, so IO data appears in the unified dashboard. You have to make your IO-monitored infrastructure visible alongside other modules in the Global View dashboard. See Setting up access between Acronyms: IPM and Global View for details.
AIFO collector deployment
Installs the Virtana AI Factory Observability (AIFO) NVIDIA collector in Kubernetes to monitor NVIDIA GPU infrastructure. You collect performance metrics from NVIDIA GPUs in an AI factory environment. See AIFO Collector Deployment for details.
IO custom scripts
Provides scripts that resolve specific IO issues, such as entity topology not forming correctly or dashboards that can't filter by custom property values. You can run the provided script to enable relationship collection when related entities are missing from the topology. See the IO custom scripts for details.
Post-installation
Covers optional post-install configuration, including setting up a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server in IO and enabling IO topology. After deploying IO, you can enable topology so that related entities and their relationships appear in dashboards. See IO Post-installation for details.
