Host Map

The Host Map enables the services data when the Pods/nodes from the Kubernetes cluster are connected with processes hosted under a standalone VM operating outside the cluster. The process exporter collects the data from the externally hosted virtual machine and sends it to Prometheus.

From the Host map, you can analyze the following:

  • Type of host and number of process and process groups operating in the host.

  • Metrics health, resource usage, configuration, and performance of Host, Process, and Process Groups.

Filter bar

You can filter a Process Group or any Process type of host required to view specifically.

Summary

Represents the details of the Host VMs

  • Name of the host

  • Host IP address

  • Instance

  • You can view Metrics and Config of a particular Host.

CPU and Memory utilization

Shows CPU and memory utilization.

Badges in Host Map

Each badge represents a host's process and process group.

  • Badges highlighted with red color represent an anomaly detected either in Process or Process Groups that requires action. For more information, see Anomalies notifications in Container Observability.Anomalies notifications in Container Observability

  • Badges in blue color represent normal conditions with no anomalies detected.
