Activity Panel

An alert can be in a different state in its lifecycle based on the following events:

  • Refiring of the alert if the problem continues to exist

  • Refiring of the alert if the problem reoccurs

  • Manual updates such as Acknowledgement and adding of Notes by the user

  • Updates of status upon notifications to the external ticket/alert systems

  • Grouping with other similar alerts

  • Priority and Visibility changes by rules

  • Addition of RCA information by the RCA subsystem.

  • State changes including the process of closing the Alert.

Each time such an event occurs, an activity record is added to the Alert. The Activity Panel lists these activity records in temporal order within reverse chronological order.
