Setting up a user group in VP

You can configure a user group in Virtana Platform to define roles and map identity provider (IdP) group claims for SSO access control by performing the following steps:

  1. Log in to the Virtana Platform with the admin user.

  2. Navigate to the Settings > User Management > User Groups.

  3. Create a new or update an existing user group.

  4. Enable the Dynamic SSO Mapping slider.

  5. Add the Azure OIDC application role value in the SSO Group/Claim ID box.

  6. Save the changes.

After executing the above steps, and when the user logs in, Virtana Platform will detect its role in the Azure OIDC application and will allow access to a specific tenant with the mapped user group.
