Viewing Maps in Container Observability
Maps in Container Observability enable the user to monitor the behavior of applications and their Microservices, Pods, Containers, Nodes, Kubernetes Cluster, SaaS Services, FaaS, App Objects, and Cloud applications through various maps. The behavior of each entity can be observed in the Apps Map.
To view Maps in Container Observability, you need to perform the following:
Log in to the Container Observability application.
On the sidebar menu, navigate to the Applications icon to display the list of maps.
Select the type of map you want to view.
From Maps, you can view the following:
Metrics of Logs, Events of Pods, Nodes, Containers, Pod Balancing, and Node Balancing.
Traffic flow between the connected microservices.
Performance of services, Pods, nodes, containers, hosts (VMs), processes, App objects, SaaS, FaaS, and their resource usages.
You can also perform the following actions:
Set target SLO for a metric.
Change the views of any of the maps, such as by filtering the entities in the filter bar.
Change the configuration of services, nodes, Pods, and containers.
This topic is focused on the Application perspective and describes the various ways to observe the state of the application including that of individual services and containers, and all their dependencies.
