Updating the Probe
If there is a firmware update available for a probe, a message displays next to the Version field in both the Hardware Probes Inventory page and the configuration page for the probe. Probe firmware updates are delivered as a.upd file. This file should be installed from the IPM Update screen to make the update available for the following procedure.
Click the new version number to upload the update to the probe.
The screen indicates that the firmware has been uploaded and is ready to be installed.
Click the blue Install button to install the update.
A Probe update is in progress message displays on your screen. An update can take approximately five to ten minutes.
The firmware version that is uploaded to the IPM Appliance is viewable on the Performance Probe Inventory page, next to the License Summary button.
