Shutting Down the IPM Virtual Edition VM
Should you need to shut down the IPM Virtual Edition virtual machine (VM), use the appropriate method below.
For vCenter, from the vCenter UI Virtual Machine screen, select Actions > Power > Shut Down Guest OS. Once the guest OS is cleanly shutdown, you may power off the VM.
For Hyper-V, in the Virtual Machines table, right-click on the VM and select the Shutdown... option. This will gracefully shutdown the guest OS and then the VM.
Caution
Avoid powering off a VM directly without first shutting down the guest OS . Data corruption might result and require repair.
