Shutting Down the IPM Distributed Virtual Edition VM
Should you need to shut down IPM, that is the three virtual machines (VM) from which the IPM cluster was formed, there are two ways to do so.
In the IPM UI Settings screen, click Shutdown Appliance.
In the vCenter UI Virtual Machine screen for the manager node, select Shut Down Guest OS from the Actions > Power menu.
Once the manager node is shutdown, you may safely shut down the guest OSes on the two worker nodes.
Caution
Avoid using the Power > Power off menu item unless absolutely necessary. Data corruption might result and require repair.
