Configuring RemoteWisdom
RemoteWisdom enhances the ability of Virtana Support personnel to diagnose and solve issues with IO hardware and software. RemoteWisdom is enabled by default, and Virtana recommends that you leave it enabled.
Note
RemoteWisdom is enabled by default and starts working when the Appliance boots. If you have security concerns regarding RemoteWisdom, you can disable RemoteWisdom using the Configuration Wizard or the Settings tab from the Virtana Infrastructure Observability UI.
Note
For RemoteWisdom connectivity to succeed, the IO Appliance will need to be able to communicate with virtualinstruments.axeda.com and at least one of the other external IP addresses shown below.
Hostname | IP Address |
---|---|
virtualinstruments.axeda.com | 40.121.152.116 |

ghuk3.axeda.com | 52.56.113.192 |
ghsj1.axeda.com | 52.8.82.253 |

Select 'Automatically disable IO UI after' with a timeout interval to specify how long the RemoteWisdom access should be enabled. For example if a user opts to automatically disable RemoteWisdom access after '5' hours then RemoteWisdom access will be enabled for only the specified duration of 5 hours. Once the timeout interval is complete, access is removed
Select a new timeout interval to update the current set timeout. Click Save. In this case, auto disabling RemoteWisdom access will be rescheduled to the new set timeout interval.
