Dell EMC VPLEX integration allows IPM to discover and collect information about entities in your VPLEX environment, such as clusters, directors, ports and volumes. This integration provides you with greater insight into your storage virtualizer environment, enabling organizations to align infrastructure service delivery to the needs of applications. Dell EMC VPLEX maximizes the returns on investments in all-flash infrastructure or hybrid arrays by providing continuous availability to business-critical workloads. The VPLEX integration can traverse the connections in a Dell EMC VPLEX environment providing insight into physical storage location of data which is abstracted away from hosts. A Dell EMC VPLEX is comprised of one or more clusters where each cluster is supported by multiple physical directors. The directors present virtual volumes to hosts, mapping them to physical storage volumes on the targeted final storage arrays.
