Overview

The NetApp Integration collects metrics from NetApp 9.x clusters in a NAS or SAN environment. The integration connects with NetApp clusters and finds both physical components (storage nodes, network interfaces, etc.) and logical components (such as SVMs, LUNs, aggregates, volumes, etc.).

NetApp clusters consist of one or more storage nodes. Storage nodes are physical devices that include disks, network interfaces, and the controllers that run the ONTAP management software. The nodes communicate over a private cluster interconnect.

Cluster nodes are typically configured in pairs for high availability (HA). HA configurations provide for fault tolerance and nondisruptive operation.

NetApp clusters are administered using the ONTAP System Manager interface, from which the administrator manages physical nodes and creates logical entities.
