Overview

XtremIO is an all-flash array built on Dell EMC scale-out storage array architecture. The basic building block of XtremIO is an X-Brick. A system can consist of multiple Xbricks, which together form a tightly coupled node-based architecture. A single X-Brick consists of two 1U controllers (x86 servers), a 25 slot Disk Array Enclosure (DAE), and two 1U battery backup units. It comes with technologies such as Content-based Data Placement, Dual-Stage Metadata Engine, Data Protection, Shared In-Memory Data, etc.
