How Discovery Works

IP Switch Integration connects to the switches using the SNMP protocol.

The entities discovered by the IP Switch Integration and for which metrics are generated include IP Switch CPU Core, IP Switch Port, IP Switch Vlan, IP Switch Line Cards / Module, IP Switch Port Channel, and IP Switch.

An integration license is not required for discovery. The license is required only for metrics collection.
