Viewing Most Utilized Clusters

In this section, you can quickly identify which of your Kubernetes clusters are using the most resources. This section is designed to help you spot potential bottlenecks, plan for scaling, and ensure your workloads are running efficiently.

This section highlights which clusters are using the most resources:

  • Top Clusters by CPU: The top clusters by CPU show you how much processing power your cluster is using. It’s usually displayed as a percentage of total available CPU cores and the number of cores in use.

  • Top Clusters by Memory: It finds clusters that might run out of memory and also displays how much memory your cluster is using, both as a percentage and as an absolute value.

  • Top Clusters by Disk: It spots clusters with high storage use and indicates how much storage space is being used in your cluster, shown as a percentage and as a total amount.

Click the cluster, and it redirects to the Container Observability (CO) application mapping section. See Viewing Connection details of a service in Apps Map.

Click Show More , and the Resource Utilization window opens.

Use Filter by to select specific clusters, select metrics, such as CPU Utilization %, Memory Utilization %, Disk Utilization %, and you can adjust the number of top clusters displayed, where the Top 5 cluster is selected by default. You can choose a time range from 24 hours (24H), 7 days (7D), or 30 days (30D) to analyze trends over different periods.

Hover over the graph to view the resource utilization at a particular point in the graph. You can follow the legends at the bottom of the graph to view the details of separate clusters with a separate colour code for each cluster.
