By default, Virtana Platform uses the domain app.cloud.virtana.com. You have the option of changing that domain to a custom domain or to a subdomain of a Virtana domain. This feature is available from the Virtana Platform Settings.

To use the subdomain option, you prepend a name to the Virtana Platform subdomain app.virtana.io. For example, yourname.app.virtana.io. It's important to note that there is a limit of 10 characters for the prepended name, and uppercase letters are not supported. Numbers can be used in the subdomain, but special characters are not allowed.

If you want to use a custom domain, you must first create a DNS record with your domain provider.

Configure a Custom Domain

This is a general description of what needs to be done to configure a domain. The specific steps depend on the domain provider you use.

  1. Log in to your domain provider and find the domain settings page.

  2. Create the DNS record using the following details:

    TypeCNAME

    Name: <yourdomain.com>

    Domain Nameapp.virtana.io

Numbers can be used in the domain, but special characters are not allowed.

  3. In Virtana Platform, navigate to Settings > White Labeling > Domain Settings.

  4. Select Use custom domain, enter your domain URL in the text area, and click Save.

Your domain will be verified and saved.

If you navigate away from the page before saving, your changes will be lost.

After the domain is verified, go to White Labeling Themse to modify the application color and logo and the logo in emails.
