Custom Properties Detail Tabs

You can access the detail tabs by clicking the name of an analyzed custom property in the Custom Property List or in the Inventory Summary list on the Custom Property Analysis Summary page.

Tip

If no information is displayed on the detail tabs, ensure calculations have been run on the resources from the Inventory page. You must have run a calculation before you can view details about resources,

There are four tabs that provide detailed information about each analyzed custom property. These tabs are:

  • Dashboard

  • Client Dependencies

  • Server Dependencies

  • Detailed Network Data

Custom Property Dashboard Tab

From the Dashboard you can view the following for each analyzed custom property:

  • Inventory

    • Custom Property Compute Instances

      This table contains the following columns:

      • Compute Instance: Name of device

      • Type: Virtual or physical

      • IP Addresses

      • Custom Property

        A column displays for each analyzed grouping that is based on a custom property.

  • Network Overview

    • Network Throughput

      Hover over any node or connection in the graph between nodes to see tooltip details.

      Click any node in the graph to view additional details. Nodes labeled VMs, External, Internal and Other Apps open a slide-out table. Clicking the white nodes on the right replaces the current Dashboard with the Dashboard content for the custom property you select.

    Custom Property (CP) Throughput by Network Services

    • CP to VMs & Other CPs

    • CP to Internal & External

    • CP to Self

    Hover over any node or connection between nodes in any Throughput graph to see tooltip details.

    Click any node in any Throughput graph to open a slide-out table of additional details.

Client Dependencies Tab

From Client Dependencies you can view the following for each analyzed custom property:

  • A graphical representation of the communication between server and client applications

  • Throughput Summary By Client Application

    • Maximum Throughput

  • Service Details by Application

    This table contains the following columns:

    • Client Custom Property (ex.: Client Owner)

    • Service Port (Outbound)

    • Service

    • Service IANA

    • Avg Throughput Client to Server

    • Avg Throughput Server to Client

    • Server Custom Property (ex.: Server Owner)

    • Number of Connections

  • Service Details by Compute Instance

    This table contains the following columns:

    • Client IP

    • Client Name

    • Server IP

    • Server Name

    • Service Port (Outbound)

    • Protocol

    • Service IANA

    • Service

    • Number of Connections

    • Client Custom Property (ex.: Client Owner)

    • Avg Throughput Client to Server

    • Avg Throughput Server to Client

    • Max Throughput Client to Server

    • Max Throughput Server to Client

    • Client Type

    • Client Custom Property (ex.: Client Zone)

      Any additional custom properties assigned to the compute instance are included in the table.

    • Client Application

    • Server Type

    • Server Custom Property (ex.: Server Owner)

    • Server Custom Property (ex.: Server Zone)

      Any additional custom properties assigned to the compute instance are included in the table.

    • Server Application

Server Dependencies Tab

From Server Dependencies you can view the following for each analyzed custom property:

Detailed Network Data Tab

From Detailed Network Data you can view the following for each analyzed custom property:

  • Network Conversations and Endpoints

    This table contains the following columns:

    • IP1: IP address for one end of a conversation.

      The number in other column headers of this table relate the content of the column to IP1 or IP2.

    • IP2: IP address of the other end of the conversation.

    • Speed in Kbs

    • Port2

    • P1_server
