Configuring Manual SLO for Pods, Nodes, and Containers
This section helps you to set the SLO value limit manually for the Nodes, Containers, and Pods metrics from the performance snapshot and triggers an alert notification to users if any deviation occurs for a metric against its SLO value from the actual configured SLO value. Container Observability suggests the max SLO value based on the last 24 hours of recorded data to apply. Container Observability detects the breach and triggers a threshold-based alert in Container Observability. To view SLO-based anomalies, see Viewing Alerts.
To configure SLO, follow the Steps:
Log in to the Container Observability application and navigate to Applications.
Select Apps Map and click the container icons from the Apps Map view. The Configuration and Performance Snapshot page is displayed.
On the right side, under Performance Snapshot, click on a container resource such as CPU, Disk, or Memory to expand the metrics of the resource.
Click on a metric. The Alert-Threshold page is displayed.
Set the SLO value and click Apply.
Note
Note:
When you set a threshold value for each metric, widgets are created in a dashboard to monitor the metric health. For more information, see Alerts Threshold.
You can view SLO-based alert notifications in Alerts and also you can perform causal analysis for the cause. For more information, see SLO-Breach.
