Accessing Container Observability and configuring user ID
This topic enables you to add users and provide access that helps them to log in successfully to monitor the desired cluster in Container Observability.
Pre-requisites
You must have an administrator role to add a new user.
To add a user, follow the steps:
Log in to the Container Observability application.
On the sidebar menu, click Admin and select Users.
On the top-right, click the + ADD USER icon. The Manage Users page will be displayed.
4. Populate the following mandatory fields and select the type of Clusters required to view.
Fields | Description |
Username | Enter the username to allow the added user to access the cluster. |
First Name | Enter the first name of the user to whom you want to provide the access to the cluster. |
Enter the email ID of the user so that the user receives the access notification. | |
Status | Click the toggle button to enable the Status. |
Clusters | Select the check box to provide the user access for the required cluster. |
5. Click Apply. The status of the selected user is Enabled for the selected cluster.

Note: After the Admin enables access, the user is notified via an email to reset their password.
6. Click the portal link from the mail that redirects to the Container Observability portal.
7. Reset the new password.
8. On the login page, enter the Username/email and Password in the login window.
9. Click Log In.

Admin can also disable cluster access to Users if required.
On the Manage User page, the Administrator can grant the Admin permission to the user as required.
